The finish is much shinier than hot stamping too. This is partly because you can have a soft touch laminate finish which provides a smoother surface that allows the foil to reflect more light.

Another reason to use digital foiling rather than hot stamping is because there is less waste. The hot stamping technique requires a bespoke metal plate to be manufactured for each design. Once that design is printed, the chances are high that the stamp can’t be used again.
